Privacy policy
This page explains, in plain language, what taipei-gta.com does with data. The short version: there is no account system and the site itself collects no personal information. Analytics loads only after you press Accept in the consent banner; advertising loads from the start, but with all storage denied until you accept, so it stores nothing about you. The game and every tool work exactly the same if you decide never to press Accept.
This policy covers the website at taipei-gta.com and its Spanish pages. It does not cover the game itself, which is hosted and operated on its own separate origin, nor the third-party services described below, each of which has its own policy.
What this site collects
The site has no login, no comments, no newsletter and no form, so there is nothing for you to fill in and no profile for us to keep. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and we do not build a record of who you are. If you email the contact address, that message and your address arrive in a mailbox and are used only to answer you.
Beyond that, the only data this site is involved with comes from the analytics and advertising services described below, and none of it is stored until you consent. The web server that delivers the pages also processes basic request information such as the page requested and the approximate region, which is normal for any website and is used to serve pages and keep the site online.
Analytics and advertising, and when they start
This site involves two Google services and one self-hosted measurement script. Google AdSense loads as soon as a page opens, but with Consent Mode v2 set to denied, so until you accept it serves non-personalised adverts and stores nothing. Google Analytics 4 and a self-hosted page-view counter at click.pageview.click are not loaded at all unless you press Accept: the consent banner is the only thing that calls the inline loader that fetches them. None of these tell us who you are individually.
Consent Mode v2 defaults to denied. On load, advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and analytics storage are all set to denied before anything else runs. Press Accept and the page-view counter and Analytics 4 are loaded, and all four signals are granted. If you press Decline, or simply ignore the banner, they stay denied, the counter and Analytics 4 are never loaded, and no advertising or analytics cookies are set. In every case the game, the controls tools and every other feature work the same.
Cookies and local storage
The site keeps a few small pieces of information in your browser's local storage so it does not forget your choices. These are not accounts and they are not shared with anyone; you can clear them at any time through your browser settings, and clearing them simply returns the site to its defaults.
| What is stored | Why | When |
|---|---|---|
| Your consent choice | So the banner does not ask again on every page | When you press Accept or Decline |
| Your theme choice | So the site remembers light or dark mode | When you switch the theme |
| Your checklist ticks | So the first-session checklist keeps your progress | When you tick a step |
Third parties
Two companies are involved in serving this site, and both process data under their own privacy policies rather than ours.
- Google provides Analytics 4 and AdSense. Where advertising is consented to, Google may use cookies to select and measure adverts. Google's own privacy policy governs how it handles that data.
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it, so requests pass through Cloudflare's network before reaching the page. Cloudflare processes technical request data to serve and secure the site.
We do not sell personal information, and there is no data to sell: the site has no list of users, no email database and no customer records.
Children
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. There are no accounts to create, so there is no age-gated sign-up, and the content is a general guide to an open-world game. If you believe a child has sent personal information to the contact address, write to us and it will be removed.
How to object or withdraw consent
You have three practical controls, and none of them require an account. Press Decline in the banner, or clear this site's data in your browser to reset the choice, and analytics and advertising stay or return to denied. You can also block cookies and scripts for this or any site in your browser settings. Because there is no account here, there is nothing to delete on request beyond the emails you have sent, and you can ask about those by writing to [email protected] through the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If the way this site handles data changes — a new service, a different consent default, a new kind of storage — this page will be rewritten and the date at the top updated, so the policy always describes what the site actually does. Questions that this page does not answer are welcome at the contact address, and the terms page explains the rules for using the site itself. If you want to know who runs it, about this site covers that.
Frequently asked questions
Does this site collect personal data?
The site itself does not: there are no accounts, forms or profiles, so no name, email address or other personal detail is collected. Analytics loads only after you accept the consent banner; advertising loads from the start with all storage denied until then, so nothing about you is stored.
What happens if I decline cookies?
Analytics and advertising remain denied, no advertising or analytics cookies are set, and the game and every tool still work. Your refusal is stored so the banner does not ask again.
What is stored in my browser?
Three things: your consent choice, your light or dark theme choice, and your first-session checklist ticks. They stay in your browser and can be cleared at any time.
Which companies work with this site?
Google, for Analytics 4 and AdSense, and Cloudflare, for delivering and protecting the site. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
